Attività:

 

Our Comms Intern is responsible for supporting our remote central team with managing EC communication channels, including website and social media management, writing monthly newsletters, supporting communication and fundraising campaigns. This is a crucial role for Europe Cares to keep our projects running, grow and further develop our capacity to better meet the needs of the community we serve.

You will be based on Lesvos and work partially remotely with our central team, and partially in our community center with our local team.

Daily tasks:

  • Preparation of photo and video content in Paréa;
  • Designing and posting content for our SM, including IG, FB and Linkedin, in collaboration with the Comms team;
  • Support in the preparation of texts including press releases, articles, newsletters;
  • Support in the preparation of infographics in reports, articles, posters, and other informational materials;
  • Development of the EC website;
  • Help develop fundraising materials, including presentations, flyers, outreach material, etc;
  • Help develop fundraising campaign, including goals, message and content;
  • Help developing concepts for fundraising events;
  • Support volunteers organizing fundraising and/or awareness events;
  • Support the local team with smaller admin tasks and/or project-related tasks.
Requisiti principali:
  • (Under-) graduate degree in a relevant field of study;
  • Interest in the humanitarian sector, especially migration issues;
  • (Desirably) previous experience working with displaced communities and/or in similar projects;
  • Previous experience in communications, SM management, graphic design, etc. is highly desirable;
  • A creative and proactive approach;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English & (desirably) German;
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and collaborate effectively within a team;
  • Good organizational & time management skills;
  • Able to provide a Criminal Record Check;
  • High degree of integrity and strict compliance to Code of Conduct and Safeguarding Policy;
  • Commitment to the values and mission of Europe Cares.
