Vehicle Performance Engineering (VPE) ensures competitive and inspiring products by setting performance targets and optimising vehicle behaviour throughout development. Within VPE, the Model Based Development (MBD) team drives digitalisation by creating and standardising simulation methodologies. Our purpose is to enable early, accurate, and efficient vehicle performance evaluation through advanced modelling and co-simulation, reducing physical prototypes and accelerating development.
Your project
- Develop a structured process for creating electric vehicle thermal models
- Integrate control models with the vehicle model using co‑simulation
- Create a framework for automatic calibration of simulation models using measurement data
- Analyse and interpret measurement data to support model accuracy and validation
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compatibility and standardisation
- Document methodologies and propose improvements for future projects.
- You are fluent in English (TME’s business language)
- You have interest in electric vehicle systems and thermal modelling
- You have interest in simulation and reverse‑engineering processes
- You are proficient with modelling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink
- Nice-to-have: app development experience (Matlab)
- You have experience in or exposure to data analysis and calibration techniques
- You are comfortable working in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment
- You have a pro-active mindset and you are eager to seek for facts to make well-informed decisions.
It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship.
