Dow, Industrial Innovation Internship (R&D)

You will contribute to challenging R&D innovation projects focused on polyethylene, polyolefin elastomers, functional ethylene copolymers, recycled materials and compounded products.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and identify technology opportunities.
• Develop hypotheses and design experimental plans.
• Perform laboratory testing and characterize materials.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical teams.
• Contribute to projects with direct business and sustainability impact.

• Currently pursuing a master's degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Good working knowledge of English. Knowledge of Spanish, German, or another European language is a plus.
• Previous laboratory experience, including materials characterization, physical testing, or polymer processing/extrusion, is a plus.
• Analytical mindset and a scientific approach to problem solving.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
